Relia, Inc. to Introduce New HR System to Allow Diverse Talent to Shine
Relia, Inc. (hereinafter, "Relia," "we") (headquartered in Shibuya Ward, Tokyo under Takashi Amino, President and CEO) will introduce a new HR system in July 2022 to promote the development of an environment in which diverse talent can fully demonstrate their abilities and for the sustainable growth of both employees and company.
■ Background and objectives
In its Mid-term Management Plan 2023, Relia set the creation of EX (employee experience) as one of its key themes, and has declared the creation of workplaces where diverse personnel can work with a sense of fulfillment. The enhancement of human capital is essential to our sustainable growth, and we have engaged in a variety of initiatives, including employee satisfaction surveys, 1-on-1 meetings, and the introduction of HR development programs. We have now decided to undertake a comprehensive review of the company's HR systems with the objectives of raising the quality of our people and providing a working environment in which diverse personnel can work with peace of mind and vitality.
The underlying concept of the new HR system will be "Shine." This word, which sounds similar to the Japanese word, shain, meaning "employee," was chosen in the hope that the new system will allow employees to shine. To provide employees with appropriate employment terms that are more appropriate to the diverse value they offer, job types, which were previously divided into career-track and region-limited track categories, will be united into a single category, and the evaluation system will be rebuilt into a more transparent system in which our people are evaluated according to their role, regardless of age, history with the company, and job type.
■ Main revisions in new HR system
1. [Job Types] Promote career development that is independent of work location
Job types, which were previously divided into career-track and region-limited track categories, will be united into a single category, and employment terms and career paths will be standardized. This will create a working environment in which all employees can flourish more broadly, regardless of their work location category.
2.[Grades] Creation of a culture in which each individual can demonstrate their worth, regardless of their position
By separating position and grade, we will encourage employees to further upgrade their specialist expertise and create a system in which that expertise is evaluated. This will create an environment in which each individual will be able to leverage their abilities and demonstrate their worth more than ever.
3.[Evaluation] HR development that will equip employees with a sense of ethics and interpersonal skills
In addition to the evaluation of specialist expertise, "characteristics of thinking and values" will be included in the items for evaluation. Relia has already introduced HR measures that emphasize ethics and interpersonal skills, but these will be more clearly defined as evaluation items, and we will promote the development of people with a high sense of ethics and interpersonal skills.
